Apple 16GB 3G iPhone coming

According to leaked iPhone campaign ads from T-Mobile Germany, a 16GB iPhone will be launched in Germany on November 12. Currently the iPhone is available only in the US.

Apple may launch its iPhone campaign in Europe with a 3G-capable iPhone with enhanced storage. The ad reveals a handset with support for 3G-level cellular Internet access using both the US-friendly HSDPA format and typically Europe-only UMTS, with theoretical download speeds reaching the format's full 3.6Mbps. It will have 16GB of memory and a 2-megapixel camera.

The 3G iPhone would sell for 499 Euros ($687) including a coupon for the iTunes Store, and would be available with phone plans that all offer unlimited data and vary only in terms of general calling minutes and SMS messages. T-Mobile has not confirmed any of this.

Apple has already planned a fourth-quarter release for the iPhone in Europe but has yet to formally announce a timetable for the launch.

One Million iPhones Sold
Apple has managed to sell one million iPhones in just 74 days of its launch. The iPhone was launched on June 29.

“One million iPhones in 74 days, it took almost two years to achieve this milestone with iPod. We can’t wait to get this revolutionary product into the hands of even more customers this holiday sea- son,” said Steve Jobs, CEO Apple Inc.

The iPhone is a revolutionary mobile phone launched by the computer maker. Initially it was available in two capacities - 4GB and 8GB. Recently Apple cut the price of the 8GB model by $200 and announced to discontinue the smaller memory model.
