Nokia has uveiled the successor to Nokia's N95 phone, the new Nokia N82 multimedia handset.
The Nokia N82 is a Symbian based smartphone that runs Nokia's S60 3rd Edition software and has a 2.4-inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) color display, 5 megapixel camera, Xenon flash, Carl Zeiss optics, built-in GPS navigation system with pre-loaded Nokia Maps, internet connectivity and a 2GB microSD card. Users can store 900 high-resolution photos or up to 84 minutes of high quality video.
The GPS functionality that comes with 15 million point-of-interests enables the user to locate and navigate the most interesting sights, bars or restaurants. You can save map screen shots to the gallery and also sent these routes to friends by MMS. A free voice guided navigation trial is also available.
With the 5 megapixel camera, the device has the ability to deliver vivid photographs in low-light conditions. You can also access fast camera activation, auto-focus with a dedicated auto-focus assist lamp, fast reloading between shots and DVD-like quality video capture. A second front-facing VGA camera is also on board for video calling (where supported).

It also provides one-click uploads to online communities. Through a simple press of a button to can upload pictures and video to view while you are accessing other menus.
The 3.5mm audio jack accommodates your favorite headphones and also can be used with a TV-out cable for displaying videos and photos from the N82 on your television. The Nokia N82 also has the capability to showcase slideshows with music and other effects on the high resolution display or on a compatible TV. The phone supports the Ovi family of Nokia internet services such as Nokia Music Store, N-Gage games and Nokia Maps.
The Nokia N82 measures 112mm x 50mm x 17.3mm (4.4" x 2.0" x .7") and weighs in at 114g.
