Hitachi Ultra Thin 35mm LCD TVs

Hitachi has announced the launch of its super slim LCD televisions in India. The Hitachi Ultra Thin Series of LCD televisions will be available in the first quarter of 2008.

The Hitachi Ultra Thin LCD Series is more than 70 percent thinner than the existing LCD televisions, and will be available in the 32-inch, 37-inch and 42-inch categories. Hitachi is already working on reducing panel thickness further and by 2009 the company will have an LCD offering 19 mm slimness.

Hitachi is also ready with its complete range of High Definition Plasma TVs for Indian market. The sales for HDTV and LCD TVs has picked up very fast in recent two quarters. Hitachi wants to offer more products to Indian consumers to grab a bigger market share.

The 32-inch Ultra Thin LCD has 360 degree aesthetic appeal and weighs a little over 10.9 kg. These LCDs can be placed anywhere and need not be wall mounted only. As such, using the optional wireless unit, customers can place the TVs wherever they wish, or connect them to other consumer electronics.

Hitachi’s Full HD range comprises a 50-inch plasma television, a 42-inch LCD television and 37-inch LCD television. A 60-inch plasma television will be added to the range at the end of the year.

The new Hitachi Full HD as well as HD models will be available at all Hitachi exclusive galleries as well as multi-brand retail outlets which stock Hitachi plasma and LCD televisions. The models will be available in 4 different colors - Red, Black, White, and Blue. The price range for the new series has not been decided yet. In USA, 32-inch models of Hitachi range anywhere between $800 - $1200 depending on features.
