The Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif relationship is all but over. But Salman Khan is reportedly trying hard to save his relationship with Katrina Kaif now.
Salman Khan had organised a lavish birthday party for Katrina, but the plan backfired and the Salman-Shah Rukh fight took front seat rather than a happy celebration of Katrina's birthday. She was clearly upset at Salman's behaviour that day.
Katrina confided to a friend, “This has become a pattern. Salman always tries to do something to please me, but just ends up getting me more irritated.” She hasn’t been taking his calls lately.
Their relationship has been on the downswing for some months now. The affair has already petered down to a mere friendship, according to their close friends.
Katrina always had a problem with Salman's drinking, especially the fact that when he’s punch drunk, he does tend to go on about Aishwarya Rai - which Katrina resented. A friend talks about the time when Salman called up Katrina in front of him and asked her to come over. She asked him if he was drinking, when he answered in the affirmative, she refused to join him.
Apparently the urge to break off is more on Katrina’s side. Her career is going great guns and she wants to move on now. She doesn’t want to do films with Salman, right now as she feels that it will limit her blossoming career. She wants to work with heroes closer to her age.
