Nokia E90 Communicator launched

Nokia India launched the Nokia E90 Communicator, a part of Nokia’s decade old Communicator series in India. The Nokia E90 Communicator is the first enterprise device from Nokia with two cameras (3.2 mega-pixel camera with flash and auto-focus; and a QCIF camera), video conferencing and active notes (a unique feature that allows to take notes and tag it to an individual’s name, helping as a powerful reminder when talking to that person).


















The Nokia E90 offers fast connections over WLAN and HSDPA with enhanced 3G to accelerate the mobile use of data and transmission of rich business applications. Nokia E90 Communicator also allows users to view, open, and edit email attachments with Quickoffice (documents, spreadsheets, and presentations) and offers Zip Manager and Adobe Acrobat Reader.

The Nokia E90 Communicator is based on the S60 platform, making a wealth of additional mobile applications available for its users. The stunning Nokia S60 browser, with 16 million colors, is capable of displaying the full width of a web page at once.


















The Nokia E90 Communicator also has an integrated GPS and Nokia Maps application to provide help in finding routes and locating services. For increased personal convenience, the Nokia E90 Communicator is equipped with an FM radio, a music player and a video player.

The Nokia Communicator category has enjoyed a cult status among users worldwide as well as in India. The Communicator user base in India has grown to approximately 150,000 users.

The Nokia E90 Communicator is priced at Rs. 40,500. Nokia has already slashed the price of the earlier Communicator 9500 to Rs 19,000 which would now fall even more before Nokia phases it out completely.
