India's renowned yoga guru Baba Ramdev has purchased a Scottish island named 'Little Cumbrae Island' for a price of £2 million (Rs 16 crore).
The island covers an area of 1.25 sq km and even has a 13th century castle.
Baba Ramdev will be setting up a yoga and wellness centre on the island. It will also be his base abroad.
The Scottish island was acquired by Indian-origin couple Sam and Sunita Poddar on behalf of Baba Ramdev.
Baba Ramdev had set up Patanjali Yogpeeth to promote scientific research and promotion of Indian values and tradtions, yoga, ayurveda and spiritualism in order to provide a better quality of life.
Baba Ramdev said he wants to convert the island into a haven of peace and tranquility.
